I launched my first welding shop in Lake Benton, Minnesota, in 1988 and, by 1992, pioneered North America’s first production line of hydraulic doors. PowerLift quickly became the gold standard in the aviation, agriculture, commercial, and architectural door industries. As demand grew across North America, we expanded our production facilities to meet the need.

We soon recognized that delivering personalized manufacturing, installation, and ongoing support from a single location wasn’t feasible. This insight led us to develop our unique business model, fueling rapid expansion.

By partnering with skilled steel fabricators who share our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction, we transformed PowerLift from a single facility into a network of over 50 manufacturing and service centers across North America.
